34 C or D breasts

"Hi, I will be 22 next month, never being pregnant or breastfed and yet my breasts are saggy. I am 5'4" and as long as I can remeber have always been overweight. I ... also have stretch marks on my breast and I am very happy I found this site because it has boosted my confidence so much. Thanks to everyone who put their pictures."

What causes sagging of breasts?

Sagging or drooping of breasts is a natural, inevitable process that happens to all women at some point, except to women with fairly small breasts.

The most notable sagging happens with the process called breast involution (see below), but breasts can start drooping a little at any age, because they do NOT have muscles in them. They have ligaments and connective tissue.

When the gravity pulls the breasts down, those ligaments and the skin can stretch, and so the breast then droops. This depends on the elasticity of your skin and of your ligaments, as determined by your genes and diet, and also on normal aging processes. Obviously large breasts will sag easier since the gravity is pulling them down more. When breasts bounce during active sports, such as tennis, those ligaments can also be stretched or even torn. A good sports bra can minimize that effect, and is recommendable.

sagging breasts

"I am 22 years old. As I was developing, I remember thinking it was strange that my areolas were larger than my friends, and later, that my breasts were also much saggier. It caused me a lot of stress as a teenager: I wanted to be able to go braless like my girlfriends; I felt like I had missed out on the perky breasts every woman experiences (which I now know is so not true). I am coming to a point now of acceptance of my body. I may not have perfect breasts, but what does that really mean, or matter? I would rather focus on the fact that I am fortunate to not have breast cancer... to appreciate my health."

Breast involution is a process where the milk-making system inside the breast shrinks because it is not needed anymore. This happens either after weaning, or right after pregnancy if the woman does not breastfeed at all, or during menopause. When the tissues inside the breast shrink, and the skin surrounding it doesn't, the breast can look "empty" and saggy. After weaning, a woman's body usually deposits fat back to the breast (this process takes months), so that breasts will gain their pre-pregnancy size, but sagging usually remains.

Another common cause for sagging is when a woman loses weight. When you lose weight, some of that fat disappears from your breasts. Typically the skin and the ligaments inside the breasts do not retract accordingly, resulting in an 'empty' looking breast that then sags. (You could try prevent this by eating foods that provide extra good nutrition for your skin.)

Worries about sagging breasts is one of the most popular questions sent to this website. So if you feel your breasts droop, you are most certainly not alone!

Note: A scientific study that studied the effects of breastfeeding upon sagging, found that breastfeeding per se did not have an affect upon the sagging. However, pregnancy DID, because of the great physical changes that happen in the breasts during pregnancy. According to the study, the following were risk factors for an increased degree of breast sagging: body mass index (BMI), the number of pregnancies, a larger pre-pregnancy bra size, smoking history, and age.

The Power of Pornography

The following video goes into detail about a very important reason why PORNOGRAPHY exists and why it has so much power over people who get addicted to it. This reason is different from what most people think is behind the rise of porn, and in fact, may somewhat shock you. But — if you suffer from porn addiction and want help, you deserve to know this!

The message of the video goes along with the thoughts explained in other parts of this site — such as how keeping breasts as a taboo actually CAUSES guys to become extremely curious, which then fuels sexual fantasies and can develop into an actual obsession towards female breasts.

Is it normal to have sagging breasts if you haven't been pregnant?

While many women find themselves with sagging breasts after childbirth/weaning and after menopause (it's the involution at work), quite many childless women also claim that they have "awfully" saggy breasts and wonder if that is normal, or if their breasts are sagging more than most women of their age.

Just keep in mind that sagging happens to all women sooner or later—except those with very small breasts. For some of us, it happens sooner, even without pregnancy. There are even many teens with drooping breasts. It is not that uncommon! Just browse through our galleries to see examples of women in their 20s or younger who do have sagging breasts. Additionally, overweight women have some additional fat tissue in their breasts, which causes them to be heavier and therefore sag earlier than otherwise.

Women tend to be bothered by sagging because they feel it makes them less attractive. However, you might be surprised to learn that according to comments we have received, it is NOT a turn-off to many guys. We women may be overly preoccupied about something that isn't nearly as much an issue with the opposite sex as we might think!

drooping breasts

"I am a 23 year old woman with no prior pregnancies or breastfeeding. I am a "normal" body type — athletic but not super skinny or muscular.

I have had one continuing problem with my breasts. When I was in high school I realized that my breasts faced more downwards than my friend's that was of the same body type otherwise. She could go to dances without bras and I couldn't. I started developing at the average-ish age of 10, was a C cup by age 12 or 13, then grew slowly to a D cup by college. Differently than some other women, when I gain weight I do not gain it in my cup size. In fact, when I gain weight I am a solid 34D but when I lose weight I am a 32 DD (depending of course on my time of the month, when I was on birth control and having my period the cup size was larger).

Again and again society (and even medical drawings, sadly enough) tell a woman her breasts are supposed to be "perky"; the nipples facing up, and more tissue below the nipple than above. Mine, as you can see above, are not like that. I am in the process of growing to love them. I still sometimes think about a lift... My hope is that by the time I'm financially able to do that I won't want to anymore. And more importantly, neither will the next girl who has doubts. Because nature gives us what it gives us. Biology is what it is and we have to accept that. I hope that my children and the friends of my children will grow up realizing that whatever they were born with is good. Hair, sagginess, small, large. I may not be that comfortable, but I really hope we raise our next generation to be. Please join me in that."

Can you prevent sagging?

Sagging cannot be totally prevented. It is an inevitable process because it is the gravity at work. However, there are a few things that you can try.

  1. Wearing sports bras during active sports helps prevent sagging, because when breasts bounce a lot during sports, that can stretch and harm the Cooper's ligaments inside breasts.
  2. If at all possible, do NOT wear bras all the time. I know most people think that bras prevent sagging, but this is not totally true! For most of us, bra wearing can actually increase sagging!

This sounds strange, perhaps, but it is based on scientific studies. For example, professor Jean-Denis Rouillon from Besancon, France, has published a study (2013) that shows that wearing bras may increase sagging. The 15-year study involved 330 volunteers between the ages 18 and 35. Researchers measured their breasts using a slide ruler and a caliper and recorded any changes throughout the study period. Women who did not wear bras had a 7 millimeter lift as measured from their nipples each year. Their breasts were also firmer, and their stretch marks faded. There was also no evidence that the bras helped get rid of back pain.

The idea is that when you wear bras, the muscle tissue that supports the breasts may not develop as well. Also, the Cooper's ligaments inside breasts can atrophy and shrivel away from not being used. "Use it, or lose it" seems to be at work! The gentle bouncing of breasts when you walk and move can help those ligaments stay in top shape. Perhaps breasts weren't meant to be kept totally "jiggless" and motionless! Just remember to wear sports bras during any active sports where the breasts would bounce a lot.

Now, women with heavy breasts may find that regular bra wearing can delay or diminish sagging, because their breasts are just so heavy. However, the jury is still out even on this, as there are not enough studies for us to know definitely.
  3. One other thing you can try (I'm not guaranteeing any results) is to help the elasticity of your skin and ligaments nutritionally, which could then help prevent or even reduce the drooping. For example, vitamin C is very important for the collagen synthesis within skin. There are also many other vitamins, minerals, and nutrients that can help the skin and ligaments to be in top health.

And please remember that it is the changes during pregnancy, not breastfeeding, that increases sagging. Don't think you will escape droopy breasts just by skipping breastfeeding.

How to define 'sagging' breasts?

Sometimes sagging can be merely an issue of definition.  Which pair of the breasts below would you consider as 'saggy'?

One dictionary definition of sagging is "hanging down (as from exhaustion or weakness)".   We think of sagging as being drooping or sinking from weight or from pressure as compared to the 'norm'. So what is sagging depends on what is considered "the norm", how breasts should be when they are beautiful.

Some might think that all of the breasts above are sagging, and that is true if you compare them to the perky teenage breast. But really, the two pairs in the top row droop only slightly—so slightly that if you're past puberty but not through menopause, and your breasts don't droop more than that, then they sag very little or less in comparison to most women.

breasts with strech marks and acne

"I'm 25 years old, I've never been pregnant, and my breasts have never fed a baby. My breasts have always been this saggy. They're never constrained by a bra more than 20 hours a week, and lots of times I go weeks without wearing a bra at all. While I'm not brave enough to go topless in public, I often do at home.

I have had the stretch marks for as long as I've had the breasts (starting about age 9). There's also a bit of hair on them. I have some acne on my breasts as I do all over my body.

I think my breasts are very pretty and I'm aching for the day that I'll be able to feed little ones from them. The notion of being able to not only nourish a child with my breasts, but also comfort and reassure a child with my breasts, is very moving."

Women in the United States typically only see their own breasts and those of the supermodels, which have been fixed & augmented, and the photos have been airbrushed, modified, photoshopped—you name it.  All that most of us can perceive of other women's breasts is just the fact they are bra-bound and bra-lifted. So this causes people—both men and women—to think that the normal or typical breast is what the models have in TV and magazines, and that anything else is sagging/too small/ugly/abnormal. Oh, what a deception!

In my mind, breasts are sagging when the nipple and most of the breast more or less point south or hangs... like you can see in the two pictures in the bottom row.  You have the right for your opinion—hopefully based on having seen lots of natural breasts.

Plastic surgeons of course have an exact definition for sagging (or breast ptosis as they call it), which actually determines different degrees of sagginess/ptosis. The definition they use was first given by a Canadian plastic surgeon Paule Regnault in 1976. With the definition and the medical-sounding term "ptosis" they can talk with phrases like, "Patient presented with unilateral degree x breast ptosis and breast asymmetry," which sounds like there is a disease, a medical condition that then needs "treatment". They even try to define small breasts as a "disease!" But sagging breasts are no more a "disease" than wrinkles or stretch marks!

What can I do about my sagging breasts?

Short of breast lift surgery, there is not very much you can do about it. Even breast lift surgery results are not permanent because the skin and ligaments will stretch again eventually.

There is some evidence that not wearing bras can help sagging a little bit. If possible, give your breasts "free" time where they can gently bounce while you walk and do various activities. This can help the Cooper's ligaments inside breasts to be in better shape. However, you will need to wear good sports bras during active sports, such as jogging, because when breasts bounce a LOT, those ligaments can overstretch or tear.

Other than that, good nutrition cannot hurt (see above).

Just think, are other people around you really bothered by your breasts, or is it mainly you? Since most women do end up with sagging breasts - more or less - they wouldn't think badly of that. Nobody should, anyway.

Those men who do mind sagging breasts should keep in mind that they're going to have hard time finding a woman whose breasts would never droop (flat-chested maybe). If the man you love is bothered by them, try to educate him. Remember also that if he really loves you, he will not quit loving you because of some physical characteristics. Surely we all would want to have a husband who is not concentrating solely or obsessing over the outward appearance - because that will inevitably change some day as you age.

So even though sagging breasts are not the most aesthetic, they are very common and you're not alone with them! And keep in mind also, your (future/current) baby certainly won't care.

I want to go to the beach but I'm embarrassed of my sagging breasts

When breasts hang down, they can sometimes hang down quite a bit, and understandably can cause embarrassement on the beach or while swimming.

Fortunately, there is an easy solution to this: buy a swimming suit with bra support. Seach for "control swimwear" or "concealed underwire" swimsuit.

I'm 15 and turn 16 in September. I'm so embarrassed about my breasts. I try and look in the mirror and tell myself that they are perfect the way they are, but I can't bring myself to believe it. In the mirror they look quite the same, but saggy. When taking a picture (I do this to see what it would look like from someones point of view looking at me), my left one is very noticeably smaller, which is very distressing and scares me for the time when I become sexually active. Why are my boobs sagging and very uneven at 15? I've never been sized for a bra (mostly because I live with my dad, and don't have time to). But I wear a 36c. When laying down, one isn't filling the cup fully. So in conclusion, they're noticeably uneven, they sag, they aren't close together, go opposite ways and to put the cherry on top, my areolas are huge. I've even gone as far as to start saving for a breast surgeries when I'm older. Everywhere I looked they say, "puberty isn't over" or "they'll even out" but, the usual time for breasts to stop developing is 16, and I'm almost there. I doubt my breasts will even out or lift at all by September. The time were living in boys are obsessed with the perfect look of a breast, being influenced by porn and magazines and other heavily fake sources, so I feel when a boy sees mine, he will be disappointed or make fun of me...I've looked through the images on this page and see women who have breasts I'd love, and I'm heavily jealous of my friends' breast. All of theirs are close, perky and definitely not sagging. I'm sorry this is so long, it is something that bothers me on a daily basis, and I just want to feel comfortable in my own skin. I do so much research and all the fake "cures" to help thinking maybe, just maybe they'll work. I don't even wear bras anymore due to the study that they make your breasts sag.

emma

Hi Emma,
I wonder if you could consider this... you don't have to "convince" yourself or try to believe that your breasts look perfect based on society's expectations, because maybe they don't.

But still, the problem isn't really in your breasts... it's in the IDEA or the VIEW that most of society has about breasts and what they are for, and what they should look like. And no, we cannot really change that, I don't think... I think it's gone on for too long, and it's also gone too far in its manifestations. But individuals CAN change their thinking for the better.

The perfection of breasts (as God sees it) would be: a breast is perfect if it can make milk. Mankind has steered FAR away from that viewpoint, and is definitely suffering the consequences.

When it comes to guys, again, it's true, maybe a guy would be disappointed when seeing you. But you can prepare him by, say, not wearing bras on occasions, so that he can notice it himself before your first night together. But also, you have the opportunity to try to change his thinking and to educate him. :^)

I award you on your site, and hope it helps ladies of all ages accept their breasts. I am one of the few, they say, that likes smaller breasts. My main influence on a woman's body is natural, I like breasts smaller to larger (natural), sagging, stretch marks, firmer, puffy areolas-nipples to any type, color areolas-nipples. My preference (mine only) are from a beautiful woman from the island of Guam I was married to. She normally (when not pregnant) had 32B breasts, dark areolas, big nipples, stretch marks, some sagging. I knew they became that way from bearing our sons and breast feeding them plus when the children asked about them they were told the truth and that Dad helped every chance he got when she was done nourishing them. I see all of these as normal due to genectics, being pregnant, having children, not wearing bras, etc. I dislike man made breasts unless needed for replacement due to cancer or other health issues, and women of all ages thinking they need larger, firmer breasts. So ladies, young and older, please be happy with what you have, no one, man or woman, has a perfect body and you should not worry yours is undesirable. There are men out here that love what you have and do not need what most want. Thank you, I have spent my lifetime trying to explain this with very little success.

Charles

Upon seeing this site I now have learned to love and understand how breasts work. I'm learning to not be so self-conscious about my 34B cups. However, due to their sagginess and pushing 40 after having and nursing 5 children, I've learned to get creative with my breasts while including them into my workout regimens. Thank you for helping me understand that there is no such thing as perfect breasts that are just a certain size or look. Perfect breasts are uniquely different from size, shape and density. They all work the same way.

I really love this page. I stumbled upon in a moment of insecurity really. I am happy I found it instead of what could have been a degrading site. It really made me feel better. I lost 50 pounds so I have stretch marks and feel the side of my boob you can really see the sag. It makes me feel really uncomfortable because of the lack of mass at top. After seeing the photos though, I feel less alone. Thank you!!

Lisa

I see so many women using the words "freak" or "weird" or "not normal" when referring to their breast shape or size. Ladies, please rest assured that the driving force behind those thoughts is what the "media" says you SHOULD look like. If this were true, what would be the purpose of being an individual? If everyone looks the same, why even have different personalities even? Remember that for every thought you have about your breasts a man will have similar thoughts about his penis. We should leave media influence out of our self-conscious thoughts and realize that our bodies are exactly as God has designed them. So in the future please don't feel the need to consider yourself "weird" or "abnormal" because people are created differently for a reason.

John

I love this site. I know for a fact that many women and even young ladies are worrying about their breasts hanging, but know with these information women should feel more secure of themselves. Thanks a million for boosting up my self esteem and the self esteem of other!

I really love this website, I have learnt something from this information. All my life I can not do without bra, I even sleep with it thinking it will make my boobs firm n never sag!

Macos

I am very grateful for this information ... Being 19 yrs old I hate that my right breat is slightly bigger than my left and it looks saggy... But after visiting this site I feel more confident and normal... I also would like to thank all the guys who posted comments saying its ok... Thank you

Kamila

I love this website and I am soo glad that I found it. I am soo self-concious about my breast being saggy. My darling of 3 years says they arent saggy, but I literally get grossed out by sitting with no bra on. I am a 36DD about average weight. My weight has fluctuated a lot and I used to suffer from bulimia. I am 25 years old. I can't stand to go without a bra or sports bra, and even when he asks to see my boobs, I will flash him with my hands over my head, because I am grossed out by my boobs (that he loves).

I'm 14 and have always been insecure about my breasts due to stretch marks and the fact that they are heavy and may be considered a bit "saggy". I am a 32C and being petite (5'2 & 105 pounds) made my breasts look even bigger compared to the rest of my body. I have always wanted smaller boobs but seeing this site has really helped me as I hope it does other women.

Maddie

I've learnt a lot. Wanted to get the prevention of breast sagging but I've learnt that it's very natural. Thanks. I don't love her because of physical appearance of some part of the body....

Eric Gitari

I'm still in school, 5'7, 106 lbs with 30DD breasts. I'm afraid that because I'm so young with quite large breasts that they'd sag. This thread has really helped me, I'll keep it in mind as I develop.

Chloe

I just want to thank you so much for your wonderful website. I am 33, and was so down today, thinking that my breasts were very saggy. However, you are right, that in the United States, we mainly see our own breasts and those on T.V. or in movies--which do not represent that majority of women. We don't have nude beaches, or typically go around showing each other our breasts. Probably most women fear their breasts don't look "normal." I was shocked to discover that normal breasts look like mine. I have large areolas, and figured that, from movies and T.V., that this was very abnormal, and that my breasts needed to have surgery to make them perky and "normal." What a relief to see that I'm not alone. I appreciate everyone's comments. What an enlightening day! I was feeling so terrible before I saw this site--for years, worrying about my breasts. Thank you for showing what real women look like.

May

I'm 18 and I have had sandbag breasts for as long as I can remember. I started growing at 10 and was a C by 12. When I was younger I wasn't over weight but not at a healthy weight. Strangely though, my upper torso was still skinny. I am now 29D at the height of 4'11 and 108 lbs. Having saggy breasts has been difficult for me. I never paid attention to my breasts until I had the money to buy new bras. The underband has never fit my torso and so my breasts don't stay in the bra. I have to constantly adjust them in public, which is really embarrassing, especially because I'm easily bullied. The bras I do find are sports bras or just me being slightly lucky, but even then they are large straps and look inappropriate on anything but a T-shirts and Long sleeve shirts. I can't count how many times I've walked out of the clothing store in tears because all the pretty clothes require a good bra and perky/small breasts.
I'm really glad I found this website. I still don't have much confidence, but this has made me not want to go through the surgery I was going to do. It also makes me feel better knowing that I'm not the only teenager with the problem. Btw: Sorry if my sentences don't make sense.... I've never been good at English.

I am so grateful to all of you. For creating this website, for taking the time and effort and posting your beautiful pictures, and for leaving these commends that are so meaningful. I am deeply grateful. I have had my weight fluctuating since I was 16. I have gained and lost 30 kg. I am now 32 and my breasts are sagging. I don't think I ever liked my breasts, not even when I now realize they were really beautiful. I am trying to accept them now as they are, looking my body in the mirror everyday and I have gradually started loving it. It is so sad that we are dominated intrapsychically by a culture of ads that shows a female body that does not exist. I think we need to face it, the media are quite misogynistic. It so sad that girls and women are so rarely happy with their bodies which are beautiful. I want to send my special thanks for all those men who commented here. You have no idea how important is your contribution.

I'm 25 and I've been with my husband for 9 years. I'm have always been and still am very shy when it comes to my boobs. My husbands always tells me that he likes them and that's all that matters. I do appreciate that, but I'm still not very confident with myself in front of him. I am a 36 C and they have always been saggy. My areolas are big and my nipple point to my toes. I felt that it was hard to find the clothes I felt comfortable in. I now wear a Victoria's Secret bra everyday with a Express cami over it. It's the only thing I've found that makes me feel normal. This past summer I've also found a swimming suit that I love. It's made by spandex and I got it from Target, it is definitely worth the little extra money! I love that you girls were brave enough to post your pictures. They really helped me realize that I'm not the only one. I've hated my boobs ever since they started coming in.... I've never showed my boobs to my mother or little sister, that's how embarrassing they are to me. I hope this helps all those girls who have this same problems, I know I wish I would have seen this site about 13 years ago! Thank you so much!

Elizabeth

Well I used to not like my breasts. I'm 32, 170 lbs, 5'9 and have 36DDD breasts. When I was about 25, I noticed that my breasts were saggy. Did not care for them. But when I had my daughter, my breasts got bigger and I gained about 30lbs. Now they are more full. At 25 they were a 34D now I'm 32 and have 36DDD.

Now I'm just thinking some girls might just have to gain a few lbs and their breasts will get bigger and more full. That is if you don't mind being a bigger girl. But I do have to say that my husband prefers the saggy breasts I had before and he says a lot of guys like saggy breasts. I guess it's what the woman feel more comfortable with.

Sherry

There is nothing wrong with sagging breast. They are part and parcel of what to expect.

Seriously, don't worry too much as there will always be plenty of guys that will love them for their pedulousness, the subtle movements they make and the soft feel they might have compared to firmer breasts.

So don't stress out too much about them.. they're just as gorgeous as the next pair.

Hi,
I just think you women ought to know that breasts that are saggy are not neccessarily a turn off for guys. In many cases guys are attracted to a woman for many small and individual reasons and something as small as sagging breasts makes no difference. Under close scrutiny nobody is perfect.

It's true men are attracted to women physically too, but have you ever seen someone who by rights you should find attractive as they appear to have all the attributes, but you actually don't - t.v personalities etc. There has to be more than just a physical attraction and that is enough despite slightly unusual breast to ensure a guy's interest.

Please also consider that whilst men are attracted to breasts, they are only really interested in breasts that are real. I am a breast man for sure and I would take a natural pair of breasts regardless of appearance over those that weren't. You will find that men will not tend to admit it, but breasts that sag slightly are softer and are definitely a big turn on for many of us, myself included. I won't bore you with the detail but take it from me, don't get too hung up on the appearance of your boobs; there are loads of guys and every one of us has a different idea of perfect.

matt

Thank you so much for your website! I am 24 years old and have had saggy breast for as long as I can remember. I have always been thin on the top, and have had trouble gaining weight in my upper body, since I am pear shaped. My sisters often teased me about my breasts, which has caused me to want to get a breast lift, but after coming across your website, I understand that I am not the only one with non-perky breasts. And that non-perky breasts are just as normal as perky breasts. Thank you so much!! Your website has definitely boosted my confidence!!

Dani

I'm 19 and I've had sagging breasts for as long as I can remember. I've been insecure about them, especially since I'm so young. I lost a lot of weight around 7th-8th grade, I was a very overweight child until then. This website makes me feel a little better about my breasts. :)

First, I want to applaud the author for blasting away so many of the myths about breasts, bras, and what's "normal". This article is both positive and factually accurate at the same time.

To all the Ladies out there: The author is correct that there ARE some natural, affordable things you can try (although NOT Scientifically accepted *yet* as "solutions") to make your breast look/feel overall BETTER.

As the author suggested, Vitamin C is a cheap, natural way to improve the health of your breasts (and body/mind!).

Other things that *may* help are supplements and herbs (mind you natural supplements, not those things you see advertised as "breast pills") that can improve the overall health and tissue of your body (which will include the breasts).

Olive Leaf Extract, for one example is excellent for general health and known *among naturalists* as the "beauty secret" of nature). *Please do a little research because I don't want to misinform anyone here*

Also note, that the same things you *may* use on your face to prevent sagging/wrinkles can just as easily be applied to the breasts for the same purpose (firming the skin, increasing collagen/elastin performance), increasing blood flow to those areas, etc.

Remember that even though no lotion is going to magically "fix" your breast issues, even a simple firming lotion can improve the LOOK of your breasts and overall skin health which is still a better, cheaper, safer alternative to augmenting them.

Products to try that are cheap would be something as simple as Vasoline Firming body lotion (it's in a large blue bottle and is typically less than $7.00). You can actually "feel" your skin tightening as you apply it! I've used it myself and was shocked at how well it worked in comparison to much high-priced "firming" lotions. Give it try, ladies! Sometimes the small things can improve your self-esteem and make you look/feel better!

Other natural ingredients to look for are Royal Jelly (knowing for improving elasticity and "smoothing" skin texture), Vitamin C topically (antioxidant for the skin), Vitamin E, and Hyaluronic Acid (you can buy a large bottle of unscented, pure Hyaluronic Acid for about $15.00 which can be mixed with any lotion that improves your skin's ability to absorbe and retain moisture) which also contributes to firming of the skin and overall health.

These things are easily to find, most are natural, and can improve the way your breasts look, even if only a little!

Even a light massage to the breasts can improve blood flow to the area in the same way a light massage to the scalp can improve circulation and contribute to health of hair and scalp!

Ladies, don't be down on yourselves, there's no "miracle fix" for imperfect breasts....but men love them, they're beautiful because they're ours, and we CAN do simple, healthy things to make them look better and make ourselves feel better, too!!!

Side Note: Ladies, even if you have never indoor-tanned, the lotions made for people who DO tan indoors are often jam-packed with firming, anti-wrinkle, anti-dryness, anti-oxidant, texture-improving ingredients since they're meant to counteract the many negative effects of tanning the skin.

These tend to be more expensive, but can be found online and often contain fun, effective, beautifying ingredients like vitamins, anti-aging compounds, seaweed extracts, and everything under the sun. Some even contain actual "diamond dust" to give your skin a pretty glow and reflect light to diminish the appearance of "imperfections"!

These are meant to be used all over the body and make your skin look like you just came back from the spa!

Ladies, don't despair. You don't need surgery and you don't need wealth. Just maintain them the way you would your face (moisturize, don't abuse, and do what you can to improve elasticity and texture) and it can make all the difference in the world for your self-esteem!!!

I have found that there are ways to minimize sagging. One is to push the hands together in front of the chest. You can feel the muscles growing in your breasts if you do it every day. The other is to use an ayurvedic breast cream. I am almost 60 and my 38D breasts look like I'm 20.

Athena

[Note: the muscles do NOT grow inside breasts as there are NO muscles inside breasts. The muscles you feel here are the chest wall muscles.

I am SO insecure about my body. I'm 32DDD, weigh 110, and 5'4''. I have been called horrible names at my school because of such an abnormal body shape I have. Sometimes I wish I could just wear normal clothes like everyone else without people thinking I look like a slut.

I also had to give up cheerleading and other sports because of my size and so many back problems. I have a feeling that when I grow older I might have to get a breast reduction.

I was also scared about having saggy breasts because they so large. I searched online to see what was considered "saggy" and ran into this site. This site really helped me boost my confidence level up. Thank you so much.

Meghan

I'm 18, have DD breast, large areolas (one is larger than the other) and flat nipples. I do get very self-conscious and worry about them at times, but then I come back to this site and it always makes me feel so much better, just knowing that my breasts are not unusual or wrong, so THANK YOU!

Erin

This website really has helped me calm my obsession with my breasts. I have always thought that my breasts were never good enough because they weren't like the ones on television and in the media.

I am a 17-year old girl, with an interesting set of small breasts. Both of them sag, have big areolas, have veins visible at different times, and have flat nipples. Also, one is slightly bigger and sags more than the other (which is kinda noticeable) so when I stand top free, one nipple will face straight while the other one will face diagonally down. They also "hang" a little when I bend over. There are a lot of times I wish they didn't.

Even with bras, the drooping was inevitable. They actually started to develop in my later years in elementary school as a sagging set. I have always been a plump child, and as I continued to gain weight over the years I was just declared obese a few months ago. I lost over 40 pounds, so with that came some more sagging. Seeing these brave women post pictures of their different and unique boobs has helped exemplify the wonderful and colorful spectrum of breast size, shape, color, and so on that should really represent breasts in the media instead of the one "classical" shape that not every woman has. Thank you all so much for pumping me with the confidence I need to love my breasts. Natural breasts are wonderful, and with a little effort and patience, I too will learn to cherish and treasure my bosom without a second thought. Keep loving your bodies, girls!

-Shannon

Hello. I am guy who found this site by an accident. And what I can't believe is that most girls don't like veins on their breasts. I love it. Also some are complaining about big areolas. I love it again. And some who say they are afraid of saggy breasts. Most of the times it's otherwise. It makes them a real woman.

You can say I like everything, but I really don't like breast surgery if it's not really necessary. And by this I mean when one breast is bigger by some sizes, it really doesn't matter. I like them both and I can even choose which size I would like to cuddle first :) I like them much more bouncing and natural, than plastic rigid bag. And talking about reducing areolas or veins... Doing that is just a sin.. :)

Anyway, nice site. I hope it helps all girls who are thinking about any surgery and don't realise they are most beautiful when they are natural.

Thor

Ladies, be happy with your breasts be they small, large, firm or "saggy". They are part of you, love them as most of us males do!

fred

I like the comments from the lady with acne on her breasts. She has her act together. Women are gifts to men. I believe all breasts (that are not diseased) are beautiful. My sister had breast cancer surgery and her breasts are still beautiful.

Ricki

Thanks alot! This actually makes me feel alot better about my breasts. For a minute there I thought something was wrong with me, but since it happens to everyone sooner or later, I'm not as worried :-D

Hello there. I have perused your website many, many times in my years of searching for solutions for big, sagging breasts. It is a great site; it's definitely informative and educational.

My breast size is 32C; that doesn't sound unmanageable. However, to have the full perspective it is necessary for me to say that I am 5"3', 102 pounds, with a waist of 22 in. and hips of 35 in. My breasts look so large in comparison with my petite body, and they sag. I wish so badly to be an A-cup to match my small frame, and so I could wear normal clothes without having to alter them, and so I could feel comfortable braless and in swimsuits. Every day it is a struggle to hide the size of my chest, and wonder which friend next will ask me if I have implants because she cannot believe such a small woman could have big breasts. I never believed my breasts made me abnormal, just very unlucky because of the non-proportionate size and the sagging.

I have tried everything to reduce my chest and make it perky, short of surgery. Most sources say to lose weight to have smaller breasts, but I am already thin so it would be unhealthy for me to do so. I eat healthy, do light exercise daily, and diligently care for my skin. I have got what I got, and I now know that pregnancy will only make my breasts look worse (larger, more saggy).

Finally, after years of feeling uncomfortable and embarrassed over my uncommon figure, I've come to the decision to have breast reduction surgery in the future after I have children and breast-feed them. In some ways, now that I have a plan I can begin to relax and feel less hopeless about my body.

If you have read this far, I thank you. I have not explained my confidence issues and future plan in full to anyone yet, and I probably will not for a few years. Yet I had to get all of this off my chest somehow, which is why I sent this email. Thank you so much for your time and your amazing website.

Lauren

I have a low self-esteem because of my breast, but upon reading this I now know how I can overcome the broblem I'm having. I like the fact that vitamins C and minerals can sorta help the situation along with the traning bras. Thank you, I feel much better.

shennelbellile

I am 18 years old, and ever since I have had breasts I felt awful about them. All breasts I have seen were "perfect"; they were perky and had the right size areola and the nipple the poked out.

Even at 11 I would google breasts and spend hours looking and comparing, just feeling awful about myself. My breasts were far apart and saggy. I had a flat nipple and huge areola. My weight has fluctuated from binge eating, anorexia and bulimia. I would constantly look in the mirror and think about surgery one day and suicide the next day.

I also ended up in a very abusive relationship. He threatened me and destroyed what confidence I had left. He also got me pregnant and left me.

I was happy when I breastfed because it made my nipple pop out like a normal breast. Sadly the weight of the milk and my lack of knowledge about bras led to my breasts sagging more.

I have been trying to put myself back together for my child, and I have been doing well. I gained 100 lbs after he left me because I could vomit or not eat while pregnant so I dealt with the pain by eating. But now I'm losing weight and feeling better. And thanks to this site, I feel a lot better about my breasts. Several girls around my age looked the same. I am not alone

Erin

Am so happy with this information. Before I always wondered how to cope with sagging breasts among my peers.

Maryamu

Great article to read. It was nice to get some facts but also you put a positive spin on what is absolutely natural in a women's body. Today it is hard to always feel beautiful with the images portrayed all around us.

Kim

Hello there!
Thank you SO much for this website! Not only did it allow me to identify what type of breasts I had, it also made me a lot more comfortable with them. I was considering having surgery and now I think I will not!

I am 24, and for as long as I can remember, my nipples were inverted. Also, my breasts were never 'perky' — now I know that they are naturally sagging. I have been thinking for several years that the sagginess was a condition of having inverted nipples! Hey, even in the sex class I had in high school, they didn't show pictures of breasts like mine. I always thought they were completely abnormal. I am glad to be proven wrong!!

Thank you again. Keep up the good work!!

Dom

Thanks for your informative article. I hope this might educate my African husband a lot. Here in Africa many men have high regards for pointing breasts, and may even decide to marry another woman because of a sagging breasts. Thank you once again

seamy

Thanks for this website!!! I need to lose weight at 210lbs, but I was worried because I knew my breasts would sag and get all deflated. But, it IS normative. I need to repeat that to myself. A daily affirmation or something, because I would feel better in general if I could lose some weight. Thanks again!

alison

I absolutely love this website. I am a part-time nudist (weather permitting) and I find breasts of all types beautiful. Unique breasts are the best, they are what makes a woman a beautiful creature.

jessica

Thank you to all the young women who put their pics and info on the site. I have 3 children and am age 41. I am older than most of you and was always worried about sagging breasts and keeping my figure. Lately it has been worse; I really felt bad about my body in general, but especially my breasts. This website really helped, thank you.

Barb

I'm a man of 40 years and I'm really and honestly fed up with these 'perfect-body-maniacs'!
For thousands of years everything was fine, and now some greedy and foolished surgeons and a whole (greedy and foolished) fashion industry have changed it and make the vast majority of men feeling uncomfortable with women, and women feeling uncomfortable in their (beautiful) natural bodies.

Calvin

I am 15 years old and I seem to have very saggy breasts. I am a big person and I have done a lot of sport. Is it normal to have saggy breasts at such a young age?

Megan

Hello Megan
, Keep in mind, large breasts will start sagging earlier than smaller ones. It is due to the effects of gravity on the ligaments inside breasts - those ligaments get stretched.

So, it is very normal for teens to have sagging breasts, especially if their breasts are large. Just look at our gallery pictures and you'll see examples ... well, not of teens as we can't publish pictures of underage women, but of women in their late teens or early 20s with large breasts that are sagging.

Another factor is if you are very active in sports and don't have a good sports bra. The large, sudden movements of breasts can damage the ligaments inside breasts. So to prevent that, wear a good sports bras when exercising.

However, a general gentle bounce of the breasts can actually help those ligaments to regain "strength" so there is no need to try to completely stop breast movement when, for example, walking. You can go braless at home for example.

I am 14 years old with 36C breasts, and they have just started to sag a few months ago. I used to be insecure about them, and I sometimes still am, but then one day I thought of something in my head that helped me out a lot: If (typically) the person that you love and loves you back is the only one who will see your body, then why worry about it?

If you are still single, or not married, don't worry about your breasts just yet. You aren't showing them off to anybody any time soon, save them for the person you love. And married women, the men you marry shouldn't care how your body looks.

Of course, there are bikinis that we worry about. Well don't. I have a very nice and cute bathing suit that has a built in bra. As you all know, boobs that sag can still look perky in the right fitting bra. You can find these kind of bathing suits anywhere, I got mine at Marshalls, and I'm planning on finding another one soon. For all the women in their late teens, early twenties, and older, I am 14 with saggy breasts, and okay with it. It was bound to happen sooner or later, but I guess they chose now. But I'm okay with it.

Alexandra

I am a 27-year old with 2 children aged 2 years old and 3 months. I was a B cup before my pregnancies and am now wearing a 34D. My breasts were very perky during pregnancy but now are saggy. I came across this site while looking for information on breast lift surgery. Since then I am slowly starting to accept my breasts the way they are. I check your site from time to time whenever I start feeling bad about myself. Thank you for putting the word out there to women that normal girls do not have "perfect" breasts. I am not completely satisfied with myself yet but I am taking it one day at a time.

Kristin

I have large breasts, DD size, and some sag, which I've had since having my children. I tried to compensate by wearing a bra 24 hours a day, I even sleep in one. I have been doing this for close to a year, but instead of becoming firmer, they seemed to have sagged more! I have just finished reading, from 2 different studies, not wearing a bra actually increased breast firmness to a degree. Apparently, wearing a bra weakens the ligament and tendons supporting the breasts. So, I am going to go without a bra to see what happens. The only advice given was to use a sports bra when jogging, or any similar type activities. I'll keep posted as to what happens.

Marjorie

Thank you so much for this website! I found it while looking for a way to lift my sagging breasts -- I'm 19, skinny and never been pregnant, but my breasts are large (34D, I think) and have never been too "perky". Also, my areolas are big and dark, and I have stretch marks. My beloved says those things don't matter at all, and he thinks my breasts are beautiful just the way they are. I, on the other hand, thought they were ugly and abnormal. Now that I've seen all these women with breasts similar to mine, and who love their bodies the way they are, I feel much happier with my figure, not only my breasts but all those little "imperfections" that make me unique. Wonderful initiative, keep up the good work!

Well, I think our body chemistry are not the same. Just like some has small, big, normal, abnormal and oversized breasts.I think it's about nature and what can you do? Lift them up? No, that's not fair. You are causing a whole lot of harm to yourself. I'll keep telling you to be yourself and don't do what can be destructive to your life in future. Appreciate and don't depreciate yourself. Thanks to all the sagged breast worriers out there.

Hi,
Thanks so much for this site, it really has helped a lot. Over the past couple of years, I have put on quite a bit of weight and have gone on from being thin to a little chubby. As a result, my breasts have become bigger and have started sagging a lot. I am just 19 and feel too young to get a breast lift done (even if I can get my parents to help out with money), but I feel so embarrassed about my body and don't know what else I can do. I also feel embarrassed about getting into a relationship because I don't want any guy to see my drooping breasts.

Thanks once again,
Shelley

Hello Shelley,

Well, it is like I've written to numerous other girls about various "breast issues": if the guy loves you for YOU, then he won't mind drooping breasts. They would start drooping sooner or later anyway — and the man in your life would have to live with that sooner or later.

This way, it is actually a blessing in disguise: at least you will know that the man you find will not be bothered by such. If you married, say, a guy who deeply liked a girl's figure and perky breasts, then when that changed (as a result of pregnancy for example), the relationship could end up on the rocks, or at least damaged.

So actually you're headed into a happier marriage this way!

Maria

I am a 28-year old woman with 2 children. I am also 2 months away from having a breast lift and reduction. I have always considered my breasts as a bit too big and a bit saggy, and think of 'Hollywood breasts' as being perfect. I have just come from your website, and I am so thankful to you for making it.

There are so many kinds of breasts in this world, and after seeing all the women on your site, I am thinking that maybe mine are ok just the way they are. Scaring from the surgery and the after results are my main concern (what if I don't like the results... what if I regret it... what if I don't like how they look....what if what if..),

After looking through your site I am now seriously considering on not having the surgery at all. I think psychological feelings play a major part in appearance. A person may feel somewhat ugly, or ashamed, or wanting to change a part of their body because of how "they think", but then another person might think they look just fine (like I did about some of the women on your site who didn't like their breasts — I thought they were fine)

Ultimately it comes down to being happy with your body and how you feel about yourself, and if that includes surgery then so be it.

But thankyou so much. I now have some serious thinking to do.....

Kind regards,

Jess

Wow. You know I was just looking for some info on how to fix my boobs. But it's nice to see that having some sag is perfectly normal. I agree with a lot of what has been said here. All the perfect women are on TV, in movies of all sorts and stuff. I am 19 and had my daughter when I was 16, and also breastfed, because I thought it would be better for her, come to find out I turned ugly because of it. I have this theory that if I never take off my bra, they can never sag, boy was I wrong. I have been so self-concious about my boobs because I am so young and all, that I literally have been wearing a bra since I had her. Day and night. I guess if there is nothing I can do then ok, but I'm glad there are alot of women like this...

Katherine

I have always been embarrassed of my breasts. I was getting fed up with my saggy breasts and was looking to do something about them. Then I found your site. I have been reading everything. I want to thank whoever put this site together so much. I have it marked as my favorite page so I can go back and get a reality check when needed. Thank you so much. You not only made the mom feel better about herself, but I have two daughters and I want them to feel the same. Thank you.

tparson

I am 28 years of age, and before I had children I had round, perky size 12C breasts. I was very happy with my breasts at this time. I then had children and breastfed all three of them. After my first child I didn't notice much of a change to my breasts. After my second I did. I became aware that my breasts were a bit sagging after I finished breastfeeding him. It didn't bother me as much back then, but after I had finished breastfeeding my third child it did. I realised that I had gone down one cup size to a B. I would look at my breasts in the mirror and be so depressed at how they looked.

It got to a point where I would be contemplating plastic surgery. But it would be too expensive and unnatural. Recently, it got to a point where I cried myself to sleep one night because I thought that I was unattractive to my husband. That physically he was not attracted to me. I cried that night and tried to go to sleep but couldn't because it consumed me so much. I knew that I would not get plastic surgery done, but I just wished that there was something natural out there that would help me get the breasts that I once had.

The next day I logged onto the internet and found this website. After reading the information and looking at the gallery pictures. I feel like a load has been lifted of my shoulders. I'm not alone and compared to some of the breasts I've seen, my breasts don't seem to look to bad at all. I was obsessed with what people would think if they had seen my breasts and how unattractive I thought I was, but not anymore. I love my breasts. They have nourished my three children and they are natural. Sure they sag a little but now I know that it is ok, and that I'm not alone. This website has given me confidence on how I look and that I should not be loved on my breasts alone but on the whole package. To women out there who like me felt unattractive with sagging breasts. Lift your head up high and know that you are all natural and that there is more to you than just beautiful natural breasts.

I am 19 years old and I am starting to get worried about my breasts. I am a 36DD. I have a big problem when I choose clothes because I always need to wear things that allow me to wear a bra. I can never go without one. I am afraid that they are sagging too much for my age. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to make them a bit firmer without doing anything drastic like surgery. Please can you give me a couple of tips.
Thanks
Fiona.

Hi Fiona,
There is one thing you can do to decrease sagging, and that is to give your breasts considerable time WITHOUT a bra. It has been shown in studies that NOT wearing a bra actually makes breasts sag less. It is thought this happens because the ligaments inside breasts are strenghtened by the gentle bouncing of the breasts when not restricted by a bra.

I am a male, so some may think this an unwelcome comment. Regardless, let me address this to those women who are overly concerned about 'sagging' breasts. Most men don't mind! In fact, I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I actually PREFER a womans breasts to sag or hang some. This is, after all, natural. My wife (mid 30's, C-cup) has told me she hates her boobs for hanging, and not as firm as they used to be. I say, if they were 'firm' and didn't hang at all, they would look fake, and who wants that!

Dave

Thank you so much for your website. Recently I have been feeling so horrible about my breasts, which are large and somewhat sagging. I've never had children and thought that something must be wrong with me. Why would a 24-year old woman have sagging breasts?? But your site showed me that I'm normal AND beautiful. Thank you!!

Sarah

i found this site while looking for cosmetic surgeons online. I am only 17 years old and I am in a 36DD bra size and weigh 120 pounds... so I am very self-conscious. The fact is that my breasts are very saggy, I mean like elderly lady saggy.. like wrinkly skin on them and stretch marks on them saggy, and I can even fold them in half. It is very embarrassing.

I was looking at this site. And I mean I thought it would make me feel better, but I still don't feel better because I am still not going to be happy with my breasts, I wish they would at least stand up by themselves. I would like to be able to wear a bathing suit one day, and look in the mirror without crying. If I could I would be running right out to get this surgery... but, I can't. My doctor wont give me a referral, and I can't afford to go get a consultation in one of those top notch places. But I am working so hard at it right now because I think that we should all be able to be happy with our bodies. When we think our breasts are beautiful that's when they are beautiful. Right now I'm saving money.. I'm selling my tv... and saving lunch money and not going to college so I can get this done. It'll be worth it. To be able to smile.

Jessica

Hi Jessica, it's understandable that this touches you deeply and is very concerning. However, the fact is, not many of us can say we're totally happy with our bodies. Some people have too much fat, some are too short, some have wrong shape nose or buttocks or whatever. If you start thinking about it, everybody has a 'defect' when compared to the 'ideal' — which the ideal body presented in the US media is for the most part unattainable anyway. It is not even based on reality because the women presented as ideal are underweight and have way too big breasts for being so skinny. Supermodels often have to resort to plastic surgery to achieve that looks. That ideal is downright stupid for being so unrealistic.

And, even if you got a breast lift and implants, the implants would need replaced in about 10 years. Breast lift is not permanent, either. After a while, the skin stretches again and the breasts will start sagging again. Not to mention the possible complications from the implants, which are NOT rare, but rather fairly common. If you don't get bad complications from the implants, ruining your health, you might get some 8-10 years of nicer looking breasts. Then what?

So... sagging breasts CAN definitely be distressing, but even so, shouldn't we focus on other, more important things in life? This life passes by SO swiftly, it is not worth spending one's time anguishing over a body part.

In response to Jessica the 17yr old: I'm 19 and I think our breasts are pretty much the same. Honestly it took my beloved seeing my breasts for me to be a bit comfortable with them. He absolutely adores my boobs and they are not round like I would prefer, nor are they the least bit perky in my eyes. Your breasts does not define you and after the surgery they will eventually sag. My cousin has gotten surgery earlier in her life and is now back to square one. Trust me you are beautiful. As for your breasts, they are just graciously agreeing with nature's gravity and many guys probably would appreciate them (not saying to go show them off :-/). I hope my words helped you to feel better.

Tavi

I'm 19 years old and my breast are about a 36C. I've seen many breasts in my life and mine scare me. One boob has huge blue veins popping out of it, and I know that's normal, but they look so bad it's like I have cancer. Not only are they ugly that way but they sag real bad. I blame it on all the bad bras I used to wear. I don't know if that could be true or not. But, I do want to know if I start wearing good support could it become less saggy?

Bras do not cause the breasts to sag, nor do they prevent it. Bras obviously help the sagging while you wear them, but there is no long-term effect. In fact, NOT wearing bras is HELPFUL to breasts, and makes them sag less!
